Murray McDavid 2001 Bowmore 15yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an outstanding Single Malt Limited Release Whisky of which there are only 935 bottles. This Bowmore was initially matured in a 500-liter sherry cask for slow, gentle maturation, followed by four years in a fresh port pipe. The European oak gives the spirit a soft oaky spiciness and dried fruit flavors. The rich, sweet, fruity Port gives additional depth of flavor and further increases the smoky character of this classic Islay peated malt.
