Bardstown Bourbon Company Lochs of Jura

This bespoke blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskey spends an additional 32 months resting in Single Malt Scotch whisky barrels sourced from the remote Isle of Jura—an island with one road, 250 residents, and the quiet history of being where George Orwell once wrote 1984. From there, the whiskey makes its way to Bardstown, Kentucky, finishing its journey in a combination of 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-Sherry barrels for a final touch of depth and character.

The result is a 104-proof whiskey that opens with vanilla crème, blackberry compote, and mint, framed by toasted oak and cigar box aromas. On the palate, fresh spearmint, caramel, and light cinnamon spice unfold before giving way to a fruit-forward sherry finish, rounded and complex from start to last sip. It's a whiskey built for those who appreciate a slow pour and an even slower conversation, best enjoyed neat or with a single large-format ice cube to let its layered character fully open up.
