The Bearface Wilderness Series Matsutake 01 is a limited edition Canadian whisky unlike anything in your collection. Aged in hand-selected ex-wine casks and sherry pipes inside repurposed shipping containers deep in the Canadian wilderness, this expression is shaped by the elements themselves—the shifting temperatures and raw outdoor conditions that give BEARFACE its signature bold, smooth character. To this already complex base, Master Blender Andres Faustinelli introduces wild-foraged Matsutake mushrooms, cask-infused to coax out their subtle aromas and earthy depth. The result is a layered, one-of-a-kind whisky: warm notes of nutmeg and cinnamon give way to a rounded nuttiness, before a leafy earthiness and a rare umami finish round out every sip.
