Del Bac Ode to Islay

Raise a glass to tradition, with a distinctly Southwestern twist. Ode to Islay is Whiskey Del Bac's homage to the heavily-peated single malts of Islay, reimagined with the soul of the Sonoran Desert.

We start with a more substantially smoked version of our classic Dorado American Single Malt Whiskey, using velvet mesquite to impart a bold, assertive character. The journey begins in New American White Oak barrels before the spirit is blended with a unique selection of casks that changes with each annual release.

The 2024 batch features a backbone of high-spice rye barrel finishes, artfully combined with touches of Sauternes and Pineau des Charentes casks. The result is a whiskey that feels like a winter's night walk through downtown Tucson—bold yet exceptionally smooth. It's a refined and award-winning single malt, with the previous expression earning a Platinum medal and Best in Show at the TAG Global Spirits Awards.
