This single malt is finished using an innovative cask-reconditioning method pioneered by the late Dr. Jim Swan, a key figure in shaping the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery. His technique brings Spanish Rioja red wine barriques into the finishing process, layering rich red fruit complexity over our signature light, sweet, and fruity ex-Bourbon house style. The result is a whisky with real depth of character, balancing bold fruit notes with the smooth, approachable spirit our distillery is known for. With 100% homegrown barley farmed regeneratively, Filey Bay isn't just made in Yorkshire, it's made of Yorkshire, capturing the essence of the region in every glass.
