It begins its life in new, charred American oak barrels, where it develops those rich caramel and vanilla notes that pair so beautifully with the natural sweetness of bourbon. But that's just the first chapter. From there, the whiskey moves into freshly emptied Commiseration Imperial Stout casks from our own brewery. Since these barrels come straight from our brewhouse, we refill them within 24 hours of emptying the beer—capturing every bit of freshness for maximum flavor and aroma. The result? A bourbon with a sweeter, roastier character, where notes of sweet corn and caramel meet the deep warmth of imperial stout. Every pour delivers a taste experience that feels wonderfully familiar, yet impossible to forget.
