Inspired by the vibrant, fragrant spice markets of the world, Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill, envisioned a single malt bursting with extraordinary flavor. This vision, A Tale of Spices, captures the essence of his travels in a uniquely complex and aromatic whisky.

To bring this dream to life, Dr. Bill and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald embarked on a pioneering experiment. For the first time in Glenmorangie's history, they finished bourbon-aged whisky in four distinct cask types. Moroccan red wine casks, crafted from French oak, impart mouth-watering layers of sweet spice. New charred oak casks add another dimension of warmth, while shaved, toasted red wine casks introduce subtle, fruity notes. Finally, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks provide a rich, sweet depth that ties everything together.

The result is a perfumed, sweet, and spicy single malt that dances on the palate. A Tale of Spices opens with aromas of sweet spice and floral hints of rose and jasmine, which are beautifully lifted by notes of sugar-coated almonds and a touch of fresh eucalyptus. Each sip is a discovery, revealing new layers of complexity and flavor—a true story of spice told in a glass.
