Crafted in Aldama, Chihuahua by Master Sotolero Gerardo Ruelas, La Higuera Leiophyllum offers a deeply expressive take on traditional sotol. Each step of the process is handled with care, from cooking the sotol plants in an outdoor conical oven to milling them by hand with axes, naturally fermenting the fibers with wild yeasts in pine vats, and double distilling in copper alembic stills.
