Lonely Oak Distillery Steeple Ridge Straight Bourbon Whiskey – Single Barrel, is a deep amber brown bourbon that aged for at least two years and bottled at 51% ABV. It has a mash bill of 72% Wapsie Valley Heirloom Varietal Corn and 28% Soft Red Winter Wheat. You will find lots of oak and spice characters early, with a hint of cherry and a full mouthfeel. Later, you’ll detect some dark caramel, vanilla, and a slight fruitiness. Aromas of oak and spice evolve into rye bread, bread dough, tobacco, and finally, dark chocolate. Overall, this is a beautiful, very complex bourbon.
