Popping the Cork on a Brand-New Bubbly Club

Well, today’s the day. We’ve got big news to announce, and trust us—this is something worth celebrating. In fact, it’s the kind of news that makes us want to give a toast. Hang on—we’ll go get the Champagne.

OK, we’re back. Want a glass? Good, because we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Bubbly Club, designed for those of us who think each day offers something to celebrate.

Just like our spirits clubs, Taster’s Club’s Bubbly Club gets you a fantastic bottle of something special shipped to your door each and every month. But instead of whiskey, rum, tequila, gin, or vodka, Bubbly Club members receive a different bottle of premium sparkling wine.

If you’re only acquainted with Cava and Champagne, get ready for a mind-expanding experience. We’ve sourced incredible sparkling wines from around the world, including Italy, Spain, Australia, California, and, of course, France, plus other under-the-radar winemaking regions turning out fantastic fizz.
These sparkling wines run the gamut, from super-traditional Champagne and Cremant de Bourgogne made by tiny producers in rural France, to experimental sparklers featuring unusual grape varieties made by quirky new-wave producers. To keep things interesting, we’ll mix it up every month. We never tell you what’s coming ahead of time (surprises are part of the fun!) but you can expect a mix of wines from the following regions:

  • Small-batch Champagne from France’s premier cru for sparkling wine
  • Cremant de Bourgogne, Burgundian sparkling wine made from the same grapes and in the same style as Champagne, just one district over
  • Petillant-Naturele, the hippest thing to come out of France since New Wave cinema
  • Franciacortia, Italy’s elegant, under-the-radar answer to Champagne hailing from the region outside Milan
  • Cava, Spain’s food-friendly sparkler (forget the cheap stuff you use for mimosas—premium Cava is a beautiful thing)
  • Prosecco, Italy’s instant celebration (great with prosciutto and cheese)
  • California sparkling wine, perfect for making you feel like you’re at an Oscar Night after-party
  • Lush sparkling wines from regions like Argentina, Chile, Australia, Oregon, and Washington that combine Old World technique with a distinctly New World penchant for experimentation and innovation (sparkling Riesling, anybody?)

Every month, each bottle is accompanied by our customized Bubbly 101 digital course materials, which we create custom for every shipment. You’ll get the inside scoop on each month’s wine, including the history of major brands, information about the region and production techniques, profiles of grape varieties, and ideas about pairing your bottle with foods that let it shine. After a few months, you’ll start to feel like a real expert—Bubbly 101 is the only school that actually rewards drinking during class.

There’s so much to love about sparkling wine. Not only is it delicious, celebratory, and fun to drink, it’s also really challenging to make, which means sparkling wine producers are some of the most skilled and talented winemakers on the planet. With a subscription to Taster’s Club’s Bubbly Club, you’ll feel like you’re behind the scenes, peering over those winemakers’ shoulders in their cellars as they press, ferment, and craft these very special sparklers.

How it Works

Our Bubbly Club works just like our whiskey, rum, tequila, gin, or vodka clubs. First, choose between an ongoing membership, or a 3, 6, or 12-month membership. Once you sign up, you’ll get a bottle of sparkling wine in the mail each and every month. We’ll also send you a lively “101” that tells you everything you need to know about each month’s bottle, from the history of the producer to the best ways to drink it. Impress your friends by knowing the difference between Blanc de Blanc and Blanc de Noir, or wax poetic about the importance of chalky soil for the best expressions of Chardonnay grapes, without getting overwhelmed with too much information.

There’s no contract. You can cancel anytime, and there are no cancellation fees. Just the sheer joy of getting a party-in-a-box delivered right to your door, every single month. We don’t tell you what you’re getting ahead of time—that would spoil the surprise!—but we can tell you we work very hard to select unusual, distinctive, and just plain delicious wines that you often can’t find anywhere else.

Interested in joining the party? Sign up now! Our first bottles of Bubbly are shipping in early December, just in time for holiday entertaining. We also make it easy to give Taster’s Club memberships as a gift. (Seriously, forget the socks and fruitcake—a subscription to Bubbly Club keeps the party going all year long.)  Sign up online, and we’ll send you, the purchaser, a slick certificate emblazoned with the member’s name so you have something to wrap and deliver with love. Then, we’ll send the first bottle directly to your recipient, easy-peasey.

Most people know that nothing starts the party like the pop of a Champagne cork. But we’re here to let you in on another little secret: You’re allowed to have sparkling wine any day of the week—yes, even Mondays. A subscription to Taster’s Club’s Bubbly Club helps you (or your lucky friend) celebrate all of life’s victories, small and large—and, if you gift strategically, maybe you’ll be invited over for a monthly tasting.

Plus, we’ll let you in on a little secret. Santa doesn’t want milk. He wants Cremant de Bourgogne, because it pairs perfectly with those little round pecan cookies dusted with powdered sugar that your aunt makes every year. Cheers!
