Hendricks Gin.webp__PID:a63c8c96-42ad-47bd-9489-9e574e3b44c9
1. Hendricks Gin

Hendrick’s is an unusual gin created from 11 fine botanicals: chamomile, elderflower, juniper, lemon peel, orange peel, caraway, coriander, cubeb berries, angelica root, yarrow root, and orris root. The gin is made in double batches, one using an old-fashioned pot still that creates a rich spirit, the other on a long-necked Carter Head that results in a more delicate, refined gin ideal for sipping. Then, they’re brought together with rose and cucumber infusions that imbue the spirit with their uniquely balanced flavor and floral aroma, resulting in an impeccably refreshing, smooth, light, complex, and distinct gin.

Made from a host of evocative botanicals, it’s an olfactory snapshot of the lush landscape surrounding the Bay area. You’ll get aromas of spruce, fir, pine buds, and pinecones, followed by similar tastes along with sage, bay leaves, juniper, and a cool, minty flavor as you experience the rich, thick drink. 6. Suntory Roku Gin

Roku is the premium Japanese craft gin created by the House of Suntory in Osaka, Japan. Crafted by Japanese artisans with meticulous attention to detail, it’s the perfectly precise balance of flavors, a testimony to Japan’s renowned craftsmanship. Suntory has a long history of making gin, dating back to 1936, and Roku is the modern embodiment of Suntory’s mastery of this process. In Japanese, Roku translates as “six”. It follows the concept of shun – the tradition of enjoying every food and drink in its proper season, only when those foods are at the peak of their flavors.

Inside every bottle of Roku are six very special botanicals sourced in Japan. Each Japanese botanical is harvested in its ideal season and from the best-growing areas in Japan to ensure the utmost freshness and flavor. The Japanese botanicals are combined with eight traditional gin botanicals – juniper berry, coriander seed, angelica root, angelica seed, cardamom seed, cinnamon, bitter orange peel, and lemon peel – for an authentic gin taste. A unique multiple-distillation process brings out the best in each botanical.

No. 3’s flagship gin led to a collaboration with a host of brilliant and talented people – from artists to scientists, master distillers to expert mixologists. The maker spent two years honing the recipe, seeking out high-quality ingredients from around the world. The flavors at the core of this dry, crisp, refreshing, and balanced gin come from Italian juniper berries, blended with zingy citrus peel and warming spices.
