A Wine Club is a membership that delivers a bottle (or several) to your door regularly, usually monthly or quarterly. For example, with Taster’s Club, you’ll receive your bottle(s) once a month. We also offer a 2-pack option, so you’ll receive two bottles at once- no need to wait! If you’d like even more options, check out our Bottle Shop, for one-off bottle purchases, delivered several times throughout the month.

Wine can have anywhere between 5% and 23% ABV. The average alcohol content of wine is about 12%. This amount varies depending on the variety of wine, as well as the winemaker and their desired ABV.

We don’t just send you a bottle, we take you on a journey, from the creation of the bottle to the first sip. Each bottle is specifically curated for you, so you know you’re not just receiving a random bottle. Different options help expand your palate and help you discern what you truly like. We also help enhance your wine knowledge with our Digital 101s, full of info unique to each bottle and expert tasting notes. We’re continually expanding our networks and strengthening our relationships with wineries and independent bottlers around the world. Our Curator dedicates himself to seeking out the most unique, hard-to-find bottles from award-winning craft and artisan wineries. Wines are chosen for their unique growing and harvesting techniques, production styles, ingredients, and finishes. We even offer bottles Exclusive to Taster’s Club with limited production and availability, so you know you’re getting something special. 

Unlike most wine clubs, which focus on a specific region or even a single producer, Taster’s Club sources exceptional bottles from around the globe, many of which can’t be found anywhere else. That means each month is different, which gives you the chance to get acquainted with the entire landscape of wine. Over time, you can expect to see a mix of award-winning Old World and New World wines from producers around the world, like:

We focus on sharing exceptional quality, super-premium wines from under-the-radar producers you might never get the chance to taste otherwise. We love wines made by family-owned companies who share our passion for great drinks and great stories. We’re also always on the lookout for organic, biodynamic, and natural wines to share with club members. But there’s no single style or philosophy that makes it a “Taster’s Club” wine. We’re committed to a single defining characteristic – exceptional quality.

Each winery and brand we work with has a unique story to share, and we’re continually impressed with the passion and craftsmanship that goes into each of their products. Each selection is accompanied by a Digital 101, so you can learn all about the winery, the bottle, why we chose it, and recommendations on how to drink it. Our White Wine Club offers various types of whites including the popular Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling. We also offer lesser-known varietals such as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Roussanne, or Airen. Our Red Wine Club features popular red varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah (Shiraz), Grenache/Garnacha, Zinfandel, or Malbec. You’ll also receive red from more obscure sub-regions of Europe, like Roussanne or Sangiovese. With either Club, you can choose to receive one bottle per month or two.

Most wines are aged in barrels. The most common type of barrel used is oak because it adds oxygen, tannins (the backbone of red wine), and a depth of flavor. Oak barreling is most commonly used with red wines and Chardonnay. Wines can be aged in other types of barrels including stainless steel, clay, or even concrete. Typically, wine is aged for approximately 6–9 months, allowing enough time for the wine to soak in the characteristics of the wood. Younger barrels give off structure and flavor at a faster, stronger rate than older barrels.

Wine can be sipped by itself or it can be paired with some foods. Every pairing can be done with complementing or contrasting flavors. In a complementary pairing, the flavors of the wine and the food melt into each other. In a contrasting pairing, you bring out flavors in the wine or food to create a new or unexpected flavor adding a layer of excitement to the tasting.

For example, sweet wine can be complemented by other sweet flavors like a chocolate bar or bowl of berries or a more complex dish like chocolate mousse or a fruit tart. But if you’re looking to contrast a wine’s sweetness, try more salty foods, like nuts, crackers, or fried chicken.

We have a club for every taste. If you can’t choose just one, check out our Stock the Bar Club, which features a different alcohol type each month.

We currently ship to 45 of the lower 48 states in the continental US. We don’t currently ship to the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Utah, or Mississippi. Currently, we only ship within the continental US.

Monthly Subscriptions: We ship twice each month. If you make your order before the 4th of the month, your full-sized bottle is shipped between the 5th and the 15th of every month. If your order is made after the 5th, your first bottle will be shipped out between 18-25 of the month. We’ll email tracking information once your shipment is scanned in by the carrier, and you’ll receive your bottle within 3 to 5 business days of that date.

Bottle Shop: Our vendors usually require 1-5 business days to prepare your Bottle Shop order, but shipping times might vary according to your delivery address and availability of the items in your order. We’ll always email your tracking details that include an estimated delivery date once it’s left our warehouse. Keep in mind that if you order multiple items, such as a Bottle Shop purchase and a Monthly Alcohol Subscription, they may ship separately.If a shipment will be late due to external reasons or inclement weather, we’ll keep you updated via email. If you are unavailable during the estimated date of delivery, please reach out to us at info@tastersclub.com to make other arrangements.

Yes, we work with most national and regional carriers, all of which require an adult over the age of 21 to sign for the delivery. We recommend shipping to a workplace if you won’t be home.

Once you complete your checkout there will be a confirmation email sent to your email with details about your purchase. 

When the shipment is ready to leave our warehouse, we’ll email the gift recipient a tracking number. Shipments usually take 3 to 5 business days to arrive, and deliveries are typically made during business hours.

If there’s a delay due to carrier issues or inclement weather, we’ll send the gift recipient an email with info on when to expect their shipment.

No problem. If you want to switch or extend your membership type, you can do so through your membership profile after you sign up. If you’d like to renew, simply send us an email at info@tastersclub.com, and we’ll help you out.

The date that your Wine of the Month Club is created will be your billing date for the duration of your membership.
