Matsui Shuzo is located in the Tottori Prefecture on the shore of the Sea of Japan. Matsui Shuzo is known in Japan as both a sake brewery and shochu distillery. Spirits for their whisky are sourced from both Scotland and Japan before making their way to Kurayoshi Distillery, where they are blended, aged, and proofed down with the famously soft ground waters of Tottori Prefecture. This blended, non-age statement whisky exhibits delicate grain sweetness and a lingering hint of black pepper. Perfect for mixing and highballs.
