Rhum is NOT rum: rhum is made from distilled cane juice, and rum is made from sugar molasses. This is the best white rhum I've found available in the U.S. It has the distinctive grassy earthy taste of rhum, but is somewhat smoother than less expensive bottles. I sip it neat, or with a single ice cube, but no doubt it would make a great cocktail (such as a "Planter", a fruit juice and rhum cocktail which is ubiquitous on the French Caribbean island of Martinique where I discovered rhum).
