Stellum Black Fibonacci Blend No. 1
- Vendor
- Stellum
- Regular price
- $81.99
This release of Stellum Black Specialty Rye celebrates the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers, each the sum of the two previous numbers. Six separate rye blends were combined in accordance with this sequence. Just like so many other presentations of Fibonacci, the blend that it produced was both balanced and beautiful.

I bought a bottle of Stellum's The Lone Cypress rye for $59.99 and was considering buying another bottle at that price when I found four different black label offerings from Stellum, including Cypress and Fibonacci Blend #1 rye, for $39.99 per bottle (that is the statewide price in Oregon). That deal seemed too good to be true, as all of Stellum's offerings are extremely good values at $60 or less, so I bought almost all that they had.
In my opinion, Fibonacci is better than Stellum's green label rye ($29.99 in OR), Cypress, black label bourbon, and Hunter's Moon bourbon. It might not beat a store pick of Stellum's Leo bourbon that cost over $70, but it's definitely my favorite rye of theirs so far and one of my top five ryes ever. The only ryes I can think of that might be better are Redwood Empire Uncut Emerald Giant and a single barrel, uncut New Riff rye store pick I got in Memphis. Pikesville is a little milder, but in the conversation, too. Fibonacci is sweet and spicy with a finish that goes on forever. At just over $20/bottle, I had to place a third order to stockpile all that I can. This rye is a solid value at $100. It's easily the best deal I've ever seen for any type of whiskey I've ever had at $21.99. I waited till I got plenty to post this, but I still had to share.
